Device Setup (ADMS)
Use this guide for ZKTeco, Granding, Hikvision, and other compatible devices.
Common device settings you will configure
- Device network: IP, subnet, gateway, DNS.
- Server connection: Server address and port (provided by BioLake).
- Device identifier: Device ID / Serial / Terminal ID (name varies by vendor).
- Communication key: Comm Key / Password (if your device requires it).
- Time: timezone and NTP/time sync.
Step-by-step
- Connect the device to the network and set a static IP.
- Set date/time and timezone on the device.
- Enable ADMS / cloud communication mode (menu name differs by brand).
- Enter the BioLake-provided server connection details on the device.
- Register the device in BioLake (name + site/branch + device identifier if required).
- Enroll employees on the device and ensure the employee IDs match BioLake employee codes.
- Verify that attendance logs are syncing into BioLake.

Vendor menu names
ZKTeco / Granding / Hikvision devices use different menu labels, but the required fields are the same: server connection details + device identifier + (optional) communication key.
