Device Setup (ADMS)

Use this guide for ZKTeco, Granding, Hikvision, and other compatible devices.

Common device settings you will configure

• Device network: IP, subnet, gateway, DNS.
• Server connection: Server address and port (provided by BioLake).
• Device identifier: Device ID / Serial / Terminal ID (name varies by vendor).
• Communication key: Comm Key / Password (if your device requires it).
• Time: timezone and NTP/time sync.

Step-by-step

1. Connect the device to the network and set a static IP.
2. Set date/time and timezone on the device.
3. Enable ADMS / cloud communication mode (menu name differs by brand).
4. Enter the BioLake-provided server connection details on the device.
5. Register the device in BioLake (name + site/branch + device identifier if required).
6. Enroll employees on the device and ensure the employee IDs match BioLake employee codes.
7. Verify that attendance logs are syncing into BioLake.
